Our Government & Public Sector (GPS) team leverages global expertise and local insights to address critical challenges facing governments. We focus on reinventing public sector entities and redesigning the function of public services through digital transformation.

The SaT (Strategy and Transactions) practice within EY's GPS services is dedicated to delivering improved public services by blending private sector best practices with an understanding of public sector needs. We work across various sectors including Transport, Social & Health Care, Education, Urban & Infrastructure, and Economic Development.

As part of Strategy and Transactions, our Infrastructure Advisory team helps clients navigate complex strategic, financial, operational, and commercial challenges. We utilize our Capital Agenda framework to support decision-making around financing and capital efficiency, driving competitive advantage and increased returns through improved strategies and financial planning.

This role is technical in nature, requiring specialized skills in trade advisory and research. You will be expected to contribute to projects focused on international business, economics, and public policy within the government sector.

Key responsibilities include providing expert advice on trade-related matters, conducting in-depth research, and developing implementable strategies for public sector clients. Your work will directly impact the successful delivery of infrastructure advisory projects.

You will collaborate across multiple client departments, adhering to commercial and legal requirements. The role demands a practical approach to problem-solving, delivering insightful and actionable solutions for complex issues.

A postgraduate degree in International Business, Economics, Public Policy, Commerce, or International Relations is mandatory, preferably from a premier institute. A qualification or certification in the Trade domain is also required.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience specifically in Trade Advisory or Trade Research. Experience in public policy and economics is also highly valued. Please note that experience in marketing, technology, the social sector, or sales will not be considered.
