This role is a Project Manager within the Government and Public Sector (GPS) advisory team, focusing on Infrastructure Advisory services. The GPS team leverages international expertise with local knowledge to address critical government challenges and drive digital transformation.
Our Transaction Advisory Services (SaT) practice within GPS offers specialized support to government and public sector organizations. We combine private sector best practices with an understanding of public sector needs to enhance service delivery. This role is specifically within the Strategy and Transactions (SaT) - TCF - Infrastructure Advisory team, assisting clients with strategic, financial, operational, and commercial challenges using our Capital Agenda framework.
We work with a diverse range of clients, including governments and sovereign wealth funds, to address key financial issues and optimize capital allocation. Our Connected Capital Solutions (CCS) framework helps drive competitive advantage and increased returns through improved decision-making, covering areas like Investment Banking Advisory, Valuations, Transaction Diligence, and Project Finance for infrastructure.
The core responsibilities involve collaborating closely with EY and client teams to provide expertise in trade advisory and research support. The primary objective is to produce high-quality research, recommendations, and documents related to Trade Analytics, Free Trade Agreements, and WTO compliances, with a strong understanding of industries and commerce. You will be instrumental in drafting detailed Country Profiles and Sector/Commodity Profiles to aid government policymaking.
Key tasks include creating collaterals, issue notes, and strategy documents, as well as content for websites and social media, often under tight deadlines. Identifying global and national best practices in Trade Analytics, Dashboards, and Trade-related databases is crucial. This also involves pinpointing innovative instruments and indicators for advanced Trade analysis to inform policy decisions.
You will be expected to independently manage and execute ad-hoc research requests from clients. Additionally, regular contributions to EY's knowledge base and business development activities are a vital part of this role.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a postgraduate degree in International Business, Economics, Public Policy, Commerce, or International Relations, ideally from a premier institute. A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in strategic consulting or advisory roles is required.
Your experience should encompass various aspects of Trade Analytics, Free Trade Agreements, and WTO compliances, along with a solid knowledge of industries and commerce. Advanced analytical skills, policy-oriented research capabilities, and exceptional drafting and presentation skills are essential. The ability to identify innovative instruments and indicators for advanced Trade analysis to support policymaking is also a key requirement.
