Join EY and build a career that's as unique as you are. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead complex, global information security initiatives. This Assistant Director role is designed for a project leader who can connect strategy to execution, foster cross-functional collaboration, and drive outcomes that reduce enterprise risk while supporting business value and operational resilience.
This position is within Information Security, supporting the Enterprise Security Program's Information Security Management Services Team. Success in this role relies on strong leadership without direct authority, clear executive communication, and the ability to coordinate effectively across various departments, member firms, and external partners.
Lead complex global information security programs and projects from initiation to completion, ensuring active management of scope, plans, milestones, risks, budgets, and outcomes. Translate enterprise security objectives into clear execution plans that enhance business value, deliver measurable benefits, and reduce risk.
Coordinate cross-functional and geographically distributed teams across Information Security, Enterprise Technology, Client Technology, Member Firms, vendors, and contractors. Drive project governance, status reporting, issue escalation, and decision-making with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors. Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, and RAID items using project management platforms.
Identify risks, issues, interdependencies, and resource constraints, developing pragmatic mitigation plans. Facilitate stakeholder alignment by integrating feedback, resolving conflicts, and keeping teams focused on shared outcomes. Support continuous improvement of security processes and delivery methods. Mentor and coach project team members, fostering engagement, accountability, collaboration, and quality delivery.
Demonstrated success in leading complex global information security, technology, or risk-related programs from inception through closure. Possess a strong understanding of information security technologies and operating environments, including cloud, network, endpoint, messaging, and data security.
Proficiency in managing project plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and executive reporting for complex initiatives. Familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and risk management methodologies such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or comparable frameworks.
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors, including preparing clear status updates and recommendations. Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority and drive results through influence, structure, and accountability. Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical topics into business terms.
Experience identifying interdependencies across programs, operational timelines, business cycles, and organizational priorities. Ability to thrive in a global, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholder groups and competing priorities is essential.
