This role involves leading IT projects from initiation to completion, encompassing implementations, customizations of commercial off-the-shelf insurance software, mobile/web technologies, system integrations, software upgrades, Intelligent Automation (RPA), and infrastructure projects.

The Project Manager will typically manage three or more concurrent projects, each with an average duration of 6-8 months, depending on complexity. Effective management of matrixed resources is crucial, requiring the ability to navigate and resolve challenges related to resource and schedule availability in environments where team members may not be fully dedicated.

Adherence to documented Project Portfolio Management (PPM) processes, procedures, and templates is mandatory. The role also includes preparing bi-monthly project status reports and conducting regular meetings with project teams, business sponsors, stakeholders, and portfolio managers.

Lead IT projects through their entire lifecycle, including software implementations, integrations, upgrades, and infrastructure initiatives.

Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery within specified timelines and budgets.

Manage and mentor matrixed project teams, proactively addressing resource constraints and schedule conflicts.

Develop detailed project schedules using MS Project/Project Server with an effort-driven approach.

Maintain and reconcile project financial forecasts, investigating and resolving cost variances, and managing funding requests.

Ensure strict compliance with all established PPM processes, procedures, and templates.

Prepare and distribute comprehensive project status reports bi-weekly.

Engage regularly with project teams, business sponsors, stakeholders, and portfolio managers.

A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in managing IT projects, with a track record of delivering projects with budgets of at least $150K.

Possess 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with MS Project for building standalone plans or within Project Server, with a preference for Project Server experience.

Demonstrated success in delivering IT projects from inception to closure, including a strong understanding of effort-driven project planning techniques.

Familiarity with MS Project's schedule engine logic is essential for effective project planning and management.

Exhibit a high level of proficiency in all core project management competencies, including planning, execution, monitoring, and control of IT projects.

Experience in managing vendors and executing Statements of Work (SOWs) is required.

Must demonstrate a proactive, results-oriented approach, driving personal productivity and that of the project team, while effectively balancing assertiveness and flexibility.
