This role specifically contributes to our Technology, Media & Entertainment, and Telecommunications (TMT) and Business Consulting (BC) practices, focusing on finance.
Our TMT sector helps organizations navigate industry convergence, adapt to changing market dynamics, and develop agile strategies for growth. We assist clients in enhancing customer and employee experiences, achieving operational excellence, protecting their brand, and pursuing value-creating M&A strategies. EY Consulting leverages the power of people, technology, and innovation to transform businesses and drive long-term client value, addressing their most strategic challenges.
The Business Consulting arm encompasses Performance Improvement and Risk Consulting. We collaborate with clients to reimagine business models, foster growth, manage costs, respond to market pressures, and resolve operational issues. This includes expertise in innovation, strategy, business transformation, finance, supply chain, and operations management for complex, large-scale programs.
As a Project Consultant, you will be instrumental in processing day-to-day Procure to Pay (PTP) activities. This includes meticulous invoice and payment processing, resolving vendor inquiries, conducting supplier statement and AP account reconciliations, and managing AP reporting. You will also handle travel and expense claims, contribute to discrepancy resolution, and support month-end activities.
Key duties involve accurate processing of PO and non-PO invoices, credit notes, and other transactions within stipulated timelines, including correct GL account and cost-centre assignments. Performing two-way and three-way matching of invoices against purchase orders and goods receipts, validating transaction details, and completing necessary reconciliations are crucial. You will address rejected invoices, process vendor payment runs according to schedules and controls, and investigate supplier queries to provide effective solutions.
Furthermore, you will process and reconcile travel and expense claims, resolve discrepancies, and monitor aging documents to meet turnaround times. Daily and monthly targets must be reviewed and achieved. Vendor statement reconciliations, investigating variances, and identifying root causes are essential. The role also includes generating and sharing remittance advice to vendors, maintaining and archiving documents as per retention policies, and assisting in month-end closing activities. Producing EOD reports on recording and invoice completion is also a responsibility.
We are seeking individuals with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, complemented by 1-2 years of dedicated experience in Procure to Pay (PTP) processes. A strong understanding of end-to-end PTP operations, including invoice processing, approvals, payments, and vendor management, is essential.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent problem-solving abilities, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills. A flexible attitude geared towards achieving results and outstanding interpersonal skills are highly valued. Proficiency in ERP platforms, along with advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities, is a requirement for this role. Experience in financial analysis for at least 3 years is also considered.
We are looking for adaptable individuals who can collaborate effectively across multiple client departments while adhering to commercial and legal requirements. A practical approach to tackling issues and complex problems, delivering insightful solutions, and maintaining agility, curiosity, and positive energy are key attributes we seek. Creativity and adaptability in your approach will be beneficial.
