Join a leading global firm dedicated to building a better working world by empowering passionate professionals. EY cultivates a culture that prioritizes your training, growth, and creative freedom, focusing on your future potential and providing fulfilling experiences to help you achieve your professional best.
This role within EY Consulting's TMT (Technology, Media & Entertainment, Telecommunications) practice, specifically focusing on Finance within Business Consulting (BC) and its CNS domain, offers a unique opportunity. You will help TMT organizations navigate industry convergence, address competitiveness challenges, and develop agile strategies for sustainable growth. EY's approach involves creating exceptional employee and customer experiences, fostering talent retention, and driving operational excellence to transform companies into future leaders.
As a Project Consultant, you will translate business priorities into actionable operating plans, ensuring service objectives and team goals are met. You will own end-to-end delivery for assigned finance processes or portfolios, maintaining high standards for service levels, quality, accuracy, and timeliness. Performance will be monitored through key performance indicators (KPIs), with root-cause analysis and proactive action plans for transparent stakeholder updates. Resource planning will be crucial, especially during peak business cycles and transformation initiatives.
You will lead specific finance domains such as RTR, PTP, OTC, Treasury, Controllership, and/or FP&A. Responsibilities include overseeing financial close, general ledger management, reconciliations, journal governance, intercompany transactions, reporting, and balance-sheet integrity for RTR/Controllership. For PTP, this involves managing purchasing-to-payment operations, controls, vendor inquiries, and working capital. OTC responsibilities include billing, cash application, collections, credit management, dispute resolution, and receivables reporting. Treasury functions cover cash positioning, liquidity, banking operations, and forecasting, while FP&A focuses on planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and decision support.
Ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control frameworks is paramount. You will maintain comprehensive process documentation, SOPs, and knowledge repositories. Early identification and mitigation of financial and operational risks, along with supporting audits, are key. A strong controls and compliance culture will be fostered, balancing governance with operational efficiency. Driving simplification, standardization, automation, and productivity improvements across your portfolio is expected, utilizing data insights to enhance customer experience and eliminate non-value-added activities.
Collaboration with technology, process owners, and business teams on system implementations, migrations, and continuous improvement programs is essential. You will embed scalable working methods and share best practices. Building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business finance, operations, procurement, sales, tax, legal, technology, banks, vendors, customers, and auditors, will be critical. Facilitating governance reviews, resolving escalations, communicating trade-offs, and ensuring ownership of agreed actions are also key responsibilities.
Furthermore, you will act as a change leader during organizational, process, and technology transformations. Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing team, ensuring clear accountability and role clarity, is vital. Staffing, hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and capability development will align with current and future business needs, fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and learning-oriented environment that promotes engagement and retention.
To excel in this role, a Graduation or Post-Graduation degree in Finance or a related field is required. You should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
We are seeking individuals with a strong ability to collaborate effectively, delivering services across multiple client departments while adhering to commercial and legal mandates. A practical, problem-solving approach is essential, with the capacity to provide insightful and actionable solutions. Candidates should demonstrate agility, curiosity, mindfulness, and the ability to maintain positive energy, coupled with adaptability and creativity in their approach.
