This role involves leveraging strong database knowledge, cloud architecture, and AI-accelerated tooling to perform secure, reliable, and low-downtime migrations of on-premises relational databases to AWS. You will be instrumental in helping clients navigate complex cloud transitions.

Key responsibilities include assessing on-premises workloads and developing comprehensive migration plans, converting schemas and stored procedures across various database engines, and designing secure AWS target environments (RDS, Aurora, EC2).

You will execute cutover and rollback strategies, automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code, and optimize performance post-migration. Additionally, you'll utilize Generative AI/LLMs for schema translation and AI-assisted tools for code generation, debugging, and workload analysis.

We are looking for candidates proficient in core databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Db2, with strong SQL and tuning skills. Expertise in AWS migration services (DMS, SCT) and cloud foundations (VPC, IAM, networking) is essential.

Familiarity with security best practices (KMS, SSL/TLS, least-privilege IAM) and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, Bash, PowerShell) is required. Experience with AI concepts, prompt engineering, and a critical validation mindset for AI-generated outputs are crucial for this role. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are highly valued.
