Rippling seeks a talented Product Design Lead to spearhead the design vision for Platform Tools, focusing on the Inbox and Notifications experience. You will be instrumental in shaping how users understand, prioritize, and act upon critical information across various channels.

This role also involves leading the design for Sandbox, a secure testing environment that empowers IT administrators to confidently build and validate configurations without impacting live data. You'll be joining a dynamic team dedicated to creating a unified platform that automates business complexity, allowing smart people to focus on solving significant challenges.

Define and champion the design strategy for Inbox and Notifications, enhancing current user experiences and influencing future information discovery and action across in-product, mobile, and email surfaces.

Develop sophisticated design systems capable of managing high volumes of tasks, alerts, and approvals, with careful consideration for prioritization, permissions, deadlines, and diverse user needs.

Establish clear design principles, interaction patterns, and quality standards to ensure consistent and effective notifications, enabling teams to iterate quickly while addressing specific domain requirements.

Spearhead end-to-end design for Sandbox, enabling IT administrators to safely configure, test, and learn new settings without introducing risks to their production environments.

Cultivate a profound understanding of customer workflows through in-depth research, data analysis, customer dialogues, and close collaboration with customer-facing teams.

Foster strong partnerships with Product and Engineering to clarify complex problems, facilitate rapid decision-making, and deliver with both speed and exceptional quality.

Integrate AI throughout the design lifecycle, from synthesizing research and developing requirements to prototyping and exploring intelligent product features.

A minimum of 8 years of comprehensive product design experience, with a proven track record of successfully launching complex, high-impact products from inception through iteration.

Possess a strong portfolio that showcases exceptional product thinking and the ability to transform ambiguous problem spaces into clear, user-friendly workflows.

Demonstrate experience in designing intricate SaaS, enterprise, platform, productivity, or workflow products, catering to multiple user personas, permission levels, states, and dependencies.

Exhibit robust systems thinking capabilities, enabling the connection of functionalities into cohesive end-to-end journeys, anticipating downstream impacts, and balancing platform consistency with individual product requirements.
