You will contribute to building an exceptional experience for yourself and a better working world for all.
The PE Center of Excellence provides critical support to the firm in managing independence, compliance, and regulatory requirements for major UK-headquartered private equity groups and their portfolio companies. The team's primary function is to safeguard the firm by proactively monitoring proposed engagements and business relationships across various service lines, ensuring adherence to SEC, EU, UK, and EY independence standards.
As a Supervising Associate, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day delivery for assigned PE accounts, overseeing workstreams and managing priorities, timelines, and outcomes. Your responsibilities include supporting quarterly Independence Summary Memo procedures through initial review of submissions and documentation. You will also establish and maintain account-level structures and trackers to ensure compliance with regulatory and independence mandates. A key part of this role involves reconciling relevant systems to accurately reflect PE group and portfolio structures. You will monitor industry news for changes impacting focus accounts and support public and private company independence procedures. This position requires planning and allocating work among team members, monitoring progress, and conducting detailed quality reviews to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of review points. You will serve as a primary contact for routine stakeholder matters, manage expectations, and escalate complex issues promptly. Facilitating team discussions, converting decisions into actionable items, and driving follow-through are essential. Additionally, you will collate leadership action points, support program and project coordination, and identify opportunities for process enhancements. Providing first-level guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to team members to promote consistent professional standards is also a core function.
To excel in this role, you should possess hands-on experience with business, company, and market research platforms such as Bloomberg, LexisNexis, Factiva, Merger Market, or Dun & Bradstreet (D&B). Strong communication and presentation skills are crucial for synthesizing and presenting research findings effectively. Prior exposure to account, client, or master data management systems, along with experience in account or relationship management platforms, is highly beneficial. You should have experience supporting compliance processes, including work papers, due diligence, and governance reviews. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, SEC guidelines, compliance policies, and risk management is expected. Experience with SharePoint content management, newsletters, or knowledge repositories is advantageous. Proficiency in using automation, AI, or emerging technologies to enhance process efficiency and data quality is a plus. Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills are necessary to manage multiple priorities. Excellent analytical and reporting skills, including data review, validation, trend identification, and dashboard development, are required. Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills are essential. You must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.
To qualify, candidates should hold a graduate or postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Information and Data Science, or a related field. Approximately 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in financial services, professional services, business process management, consulting, research, or corporate strategy is required. Demonstrated experience coordinating projects, reviewing deliverables, and working effectively with multiple stakeholders is essential. Proven ability to analyze information, produce high-quality reports or presentations, and communicate clear business insights is a must. Experience supporting business leaders in a deadline-driven environment is also necessary.
