Join Oracle as a Principal Systems Engineer and drive the administration, performance analysis, and optimization of our server infrastructure. This role involves independent management of system configurations, backups, and the coordination of critical patching processes.

Oversee system installation and configuration, ensuring optimal performance of operating systems and middleware. Drive the deployment and maintenance of internal applications, conducting in-depth performance trend analyses and capacity management.

Optimize system configurations and backups independently. Coordinate hardware maintenance, installation, and provisioning, collaborating with internal experts and vendors to resolve integration challenges.

Manage identity and access management systems, monitoring user activity and provisioning access. Ensure efficient batch processing by monitoring updates, resolving issues, and configuring job streams with advanced management techniques.

Enhance system and security through the development and implementation of improvements, and partner with Service teams to address operational gaps and support scalability. Participate in the end-to-end incident management lifecycle, analyzing incident data, leading review meetings, and collaborating to resolve high-severity incidents. Provide guidance for escalated support cases and maintain the production environment by reviewing logs and ticket queues.

Implement disaster recovery solutions and participate in drills to ensure preparedness and compliance. Communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, facilitating training programs and serving as a technical liaison. Create and identify documentation gaps and review performance reports to support operational outcomes.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in systems engineering and administration is required.

Proficiency in Unix/Linux systems, Bash scripting, and Shell scripting is essential.

Experience with system automation, cloud architecture, and AIOps is expected.

Demonstrated technical leadership and the ability to independently optimize system configurations and backups are crucial.

Experience in coordinating patching, implementing disaster recovery solutions, and managing identity and access management systems is necessary.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed to resolve complex customer system issues.

Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences are required.
