Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and shape the future of cloud for enterprises. As part of the AI2 Operations team, you'll be instrumental in providing core compute power and managing foundational infrastructure services.

This role offers the chance to own a collection of services, understand end-to-end dependencies, and resolve critical customer incidents. You will drive improvements in security, performance, availability, and scalability, acting as the ultimate authority for operability. Partnering with development teams, you'll ensure service level agreements are met and guide the engineering of premier cloud capabilities.

We seek individuals with a deep understanding of automation, orchestration, and distributed systems, capable of articulating technical characteristics and guiding development teams. You'll also be responsible for the operation of production environments, recommending novel solutions to enhance availability and performance.

Manage and optimize Linux-based compute infrastructure for AI, GPU, and inference workloads. Apply strong networking knowledge to diagnose and resolve connectivity and service issues. Utilize automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Python, and shell scripting for standardization and operational tasks. Support data center operations, including host provisioning, maintenance, and hardware troubleshooting. Collaborate with infrastructure and networking teams to enhance availability, capacity, and configuration consistency. Lead technical response for critical infrastructure incidents, from triage to restoration and validation. Assess customer and workload impact, distinguishing confirmed issues from symptoms. Coordinate cross-functional teams for timely issue resolution during high-severity incidents. Maintain accurate incident records and lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews. Use operational metrics to identify recurring issues and improve incident response effectiveness. Provide hands-on technical leadership as a senior individual contributor, mentoring team members and setting high engineering standards.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required. Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud operations, site reliability engineering, or production operations. Expert-level Linux administration skills, particularly with Ubuntu and Oracle Linux in large-scale production environments. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across hardware, OS, networking, and service dependencies. Strong understanding of distributed systems and their impact on reliability and customer experience. Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, and configuration management using Python, shell scripting, Ansible, and Terraform. Solid knowledge of incident management, service management, root cause analysis, and operational improvement. Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and host lifecycle management. Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical issues and recommendations to stakeholders.
