This role focuses on the Microsoft Fabric platform, acting as the operating system for a unified data stack. The Fabric Platform Shell team is dedicated to crafting a premier SaaS data development environment on the web, designed to attract and retain developers. Our mission is to deliver a seamless, unified, and extensible web experience that simplifies data development and encourages the adoption of Fabric for building diverse solutions.

As a Principal Software Engineering Manager, you will lead and mentor a team of software engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and program managers throughout the product development lifecycle.

Drive technical excellence and innovation by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices. Ensure adherence to agile methodologies and maintain a high team productivity level. Effectively manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to guarantee successful project outcomes.

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, coupled with at least 6 years of technical engineering experience, including coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, is required. Alternatively, equivalent experience will be considered.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of experience. Additionally, 4+ years of people management experience is highly desirable. Candidates must also meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
