This role focuses on developing policy-driven compliance experiences, robust customer audit validation capabilities, and sovereign landing zone solutions. You'll be instrumental in fostering trust through verifiable data rather than mere assertions.

Your leadership will shape engineering investments in Sovereign Cloud Platform (SCP) policy content, audit evidence workflows, and foundational landing zones for new sovereign cloud deployments. Collaboration with engineering, compliance, security, and operations teams will be key to translating complex regulatory and customer assurance needs into scalable platform features.

This is a high-impact leadership position requiring deep technical expertise, a strong sense of customer needs, and the ability to drive execution and influence across diverse organizations. You will guide a talented team to enable customers and auditors in verifying operational controls, accessing reliable compliance data, and accelerating sovereign workload adoption with utmost security and operational excellence.

Lead and mentor a high-performing software engineering team focused on SCP policy and compliance platform development. Define technical strategy, architecture, and execution plans, aligning with business goals. Cultivate a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement, emphasizing best practices in design, code quality, reliability, and security.

Own the engineering roadmap for SCP policy content and policy-driven customer experiences. Partner with compliance, legal, and security stakeholders to translate regulatory mandates into actionable platform capabilities. Develop scalable solutions for policy management, validation, reporting, and customer-facing compliance features, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational requirements.

Drive the development of features enabling customers and auditors to independently validate operational controls and compliance. Integrate audit-relevant information from operational systems into customer-facing platforms. Build and enhance services for collecting, correlating, and presenting operational audit data, supporting audit readiness, traceability, and transparency. Streamline customer audit engagements and reduce manual efforts through automation.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, coupled with over 10 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years leading engineering teams. Proven experience delivering large-scale cloud platforms, security, compliance, or enterprise services is essential. Expertise in building customer-facing platforms that integrate data from multiple operational systems and a solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, distributed systems, service architecture, and cloud-native technologies are required.

Demonstrated ability to drive technical execution across multiple teams and stakeholders, with exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in sovereign cloud, government cloud, regulated industries, or highly compliant environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC, FedRAMP, NIST, CJIS, GDPR, and experience with governance, policy, compliance, risk, or audit management systems are advantageous.

Knowledge of cloud landing zone architectures and enterprise cloud adoption frameworks, along with experience in evidence automation, control validation, compliance reporting, or assurance platforms, will strengthen your candidacy. Experience driving cross-organizational platform initiatives and a solid understanding of operational control frameworks and trust/assurance models are key. Direct experience working with auditors, regulators, or compliance organizations is also beneficial.
