Join the Retail Business Services (RBS) Technology team and be instrumental in reshaping Amazon's e-commerce landscape. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge ML/GenAI-driven Agentic core platforms to automate manual business functions. You will drive significant improvements in speed, scale, and impact across Amazon's operations.

Our mission is to enhance the customer and selling partner experience by streamlining thousands of intricate tasks. These tasks span vendor interactions, app audits, customer feedback analysis, and inventory management. By automating these processes, we aim to boost operational velocity, ensure consistency, and expand our capacity.

The Principal Engineer will spearhead the creation of these scalable automation platforms, utilizing advanced technologies like GenAI and Agentic infrastructure. This involves deeply understanding business needs and translating them into robust, self-service automation solutions. The goal is to empower users with low-code/no-code development capabilities, making automation more accessible and efficient.

Lead technical initiatives for complex, cross-functional projects, setting the technology vision in line with business objectives.

Architect and design critical components of core platforms and services, making informed technical decisions in collaboration with stakeholders.

Mentor and inspire other engineers through constructive work reviews, fostering a supportive learning environment.

Build consensus on long-term technical strategies and partner with leadership to optimize at a company or group level.

Establish and uphold a high technical standard, influencing multiple teams to enhance their productivity and effectiveness through knowledge sharing.

A minimum of 12 years of experience in the IT industry, with a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale, complex software systems.

Demonstrated hands-on experience with big data processing and storage, object-oriented design principles, and the application of GenAI technologies.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

Experience in leading and mentoring senior engineers, with a track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

Preferred qualifications include experience building web-scale systems and products, along with a solid understanding of Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and Image/Video processing.
