The PVXT team in Bengaluru is expanding, with exciting projects in X-Ray, playback services, live technologies, player and client testing, and other foundational technologies. We are seeking a Principal Engineer to serve as a technical leader, providing crucial technology oversight and fostering a culture of engineering and operational excellence. This role involves close collaboration with global Prime Video teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end tech stack. You will offer essential engineering and architectural guidance, ensuring alignment with the broader Prime Video vision and architecture.

This is a cross-functional opportunity demanding expertise across diverse domains, including client and back-end technologies, large-scale distributed systems, and AI-based systems. The successful candidate will provide local technology leadership and oversight for this multifaceted position.

We require a minimum of 10 years of experience in software development. Candidates must possess proven experience in designing and building large-scale distributed systems. A strong background as a hands-on practitioner using AI, including GenAI for coding and workflow analysis, is essential for operational excellence.

While domain expertise in client technologies and video technologies is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement for this role.
