As a Principal Software Engineer, you will lead hands-on technical execution and architectural design for RTP products and platform capabilities. You'll own the end-to-end delivery of complex services, ensuring high-quality software components and adherence to enterprise architecture standards.

Key responsibilities include defining reference architectures, leading technical design reviews, making critical technology trade-offs, and ensuring solutions meet stringent non-functional requirements for performance, scalability, reliability, and security. You will also drive cross-market consistency, mentor senior engineers, and influence our engineering culture towards excellence.

We are seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer with over 10 years in software engineering, specializing in designing and building large-scale distributed systems. A strong foundation in microservices and event-driven architectures is essential.

You should possess deep expertise in performance engineering, scalability patterns, resilience design, and observability. Experience with enterprise backend development using Java/Spring, along with familiarity in cloud and containerized environments, is required. While not mandatory, experience in payments or financial services is a significant advantage. Strong leadership, communication, and the ability to influence technical decisions are crucial for this role.
