Lead the technical vision for Delivery Choices (DEX), a rapidly expanding customer experience critical to Amazon's growth. This role involves architecting delivery behaviors that will redefine how millions of Prime members shop. You will operate at the nexus of customer experience, fulfillment, and international expansion, influencing architectural decisions across numerous partner organizations.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a team bridging core Amazon operations and retail. You will have broad influence and ownership, coordinating complex architectural strategies while your team executes at peak efficiency. Your work will directly impact international expansion, core delivery precision products, and foundational services requiring Tier-1 migration.

Drive real-time architectural decisions with principal-level authority. Shape technical direction and build consensus across distributed teams. Ensure architectural consistency during high-velocity scaling and international expansion.

Address specific technical challenges including redesigning Buy-X-Get-Y promotions, evolving Add to Delivery personalization, reducing latency in Search Gateway, extending consolidation products, and re-architecting checkout flows. You will require deep understanding of Amazon's delivery promise systems, including Promise and Fulfillment Optimization interactions for calculating and fulfilling delivery dates across diverse networks.

A minimum of 12 years in professional software development, with at least 7 years in a programming language and 5 years contributing to system design or architecture. Proven experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader is essential.

Requires broad design system expertise and cross-organizational technical coordination at scale. Essential to have prior experience in e-commerce delivery systems architecture. Expertise in promise matching, alignment, eligibility evaluation, and consolidation mechanisms is also required.

Navigate country-specific legal requirements, marketplace fulfillment characteristics, and localized promise behaviors. Understand international expansion complexities, including configuration management across services and varying promise accuracy requirements by locale. This role demands fluency in customer shopping behaviors, promise calculation, and network value creation through consolidation.
