As a Principal Software Engineer, you will drive architectural vision and execution across APIs, microservices, data, and integration patterns to build scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems. You will own the end-to-end design and implementation of critical services, staying hands-on in complex areas.

Key responsibilities include leading decisions on performance, scalability, reliability, security, and observability. You will balance long-term architectural goals with practical delivery needs and business priorities, partnering closely with product and engineering teams to align roadmaps. Providing technical leadership through design reviews, guidance, and hands-on support, you will ensure solutions are cohesive, supportable, and adhere to enterprise standards. This role also involves contributing to architecture governance, driving modern practices like DDD and event-driven design, and leading early-stage initiatives to accelerate market speed and platform evolution.

Furthermore, you will mentor engineers and architects, enhance technical capabilities across teams, and build strong cross-team collaboration for delivery quality, maintainability, and long-term platform health.

We are seeking experienced leaders with a proven track record in architecting large-scale, high-performance distributed platforms within complex enterprise settings. The ideal candidate is high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of functioning under pressure in an independent environment.

Strong abilities in defining solution direction across multiple teams and supporting engineering through design, build, and delivery are essential. You must be adept at clearly communicating architectural concepts to facilitate alignment, decision-making, and execution. Excellent partnership skills are required to collaborate effectively with product teams on solution roadmaps and align architecture with evolving business priorities.

This role demands confidence in leading decisions, managing trade-offs, and influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A blend of strategic thinking and hands-on technical judgment is crucial for bringing clarity to ambiguity and guiding teams forward. Essential technical skills include a strong foundation in distributed systems, API and service design, modern backend and data-intensive platform design, microservices, domain-driven design, and modern integration patterns. Experience with CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, cloud environments, web architecture, application development, and RESTful APIs is mandatory. Familiarity with relational and operational data technologies, defining non-functional requirements, and supporting modernization and transformation initiatives is also required.
