As a Principal Software Engineer, you will develop and ship high-impact features for Windows at a global scale, addressing critical customer and partner needs. You will design, develop, and optimize software and services using cutting-edge technologies and AI-powered development tools.

Key responsibilities include fostering technical partnerships, mentoring fellow engineers, and driving technical direction. You will also collaborate with stakeholders to define user requirements, develop design documents, and ensure code quality for performance and maintainability. Acting as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), you'll monitor system health, resolve issues, and proactively adapt to new trends to enhance product reliability and efficiency.

We are seeking experienced software engineers proficient in C++ and other languages such as C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required, coupled with a minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 8+ years of experience. Essential attributes include excellent design, coding, debugging, teamwork, and communication skills, alongside a customer-focused, innovative mindset and a passion for engineering craftsmanship. Experience with cross-group design and coordination is advantageous.
