Join Microsoft Specialized Clouds Security Fundamentals as a Principal Security Architect, driving foundational security for commercial, sovereign, and specialized cloud environments. This role offers technical leadership across Azure platform architecture, security, and cloud infrastructure.

You will define scalable architectural patterns, champion security-by-design, and scale critical security solutions for diverse cloud environments. The ideal candidate possesses deep Azure, cloud security, networking, and distributed systems expertise, with a talent for influencing engineering strategy.

Focusing on durable, cloud-agnostic architectures and sovereign security patterns, you will collaborate with Sovereign Cloud Engineering, Azure platform teams, and Microsoft Security to build reusable, secure, and scalable solutions for MSC.

Define architecture and technical strategy for security platforms across Azure, sovereign, and specialized cloud environments. Drive secure, scalable, and resilient designs for cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, and access management. Partner with key teams to create reusable architectural patterns and reference implementations. Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance for complex initiatives. Identify platform challenges and develop long-term solutions for enhanced scalability, reliability, and security. Establish engineering standards, design principles, and best practices. Influence technical direction and align engineering investments. Mentor senior engineers and architects, fostering a culture of excellence. Promote security-by-design, zero trust, and defense-in-depth principles.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, or infrastructure engineering. Extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture, cloud services, and distributed systems. Solid understanding of cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, network security, routing, segmentation, and secure access. Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale security solutions, including identity and Zero Trust architectures. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, policy enforcement, governance frameworks, and cloud security controls. Demonstrated success leading architecture initiatives across multiple teams and organizations. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
