As a Principal Architect within Infrastructure Design Engineering (IDE), you will spearhead the architecture for enterprise-wide initiatives. This involves defining target-state architectures, establishing reference patterns, and developing modernization roadmaps for hybrid and cloud infrastructure, including enterprise AI platforms.

Lead the architectural vision for enterprise-wide initiatives, spanning multiple platforms, programs, and services. Define target-state architectures and modernization roadmaps for hybrid and cloud infrastructure, alongside architecting enterprise AI platforms. Drive platform simplification, regional build-outs, and sustainability-focused footprint reduction efforts. Architect secure AI and cloud solutions aligned with enterprise security frameworks, ensuring compliance with identity, encryption, private connectivity, and auditability standards.

Mentor engineers and architects within the IDE community, contributing to white papers, architectural patterns, and reference designs. Represent IDE in forums and public technical engagements, influencing executive-level decisions on technology strategy and modernization. Oversee the development and promotion of future-oriented platform architectures and business processes to foster innovation.

Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Hybrid Cloud, Networking, Compute, Storage, AI, System Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, Cloud Security, and Cloud Services is essential. A proven track record in designing large-scale, resilient, and secure enterprise platforms is required.

You will be accountable for long-term financial and resource management, including forecasting and budget tracking. Drive improvement initiatives focused on automation and reducing deployment times. Partner with security, A&T, database, and platform teams to ensure adherence to standards and the efficient operation of hosted production systems. Serve as a subject matter expert, communicating Mastercard's strategic vision for future state architecture to business stakeholders.
