As a Principal Data Migration Architect for Oracle Health, you will spearhead the strategy, design, governance, and execution of intricate healthcare data migration projects. This role is crucial for Oracle Health Millennium implementations and modernization initiatives, overseeing architecture, technical delivery, stakeholder relations, risk mitigation, and data integrity to ensure seamless data transitions into Oracle Health solutions. Lead comprehensive planning, execution, governance, and delivery of Oracle Health data migration projects. Define project scope, milestones, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, resource allocation, and success metrics. Collaborate closely with migration architects, data conversion specialists, clinical subject matter experts, integration teams, and client stakeholders to ensure end-to-end project success. Oversee all migration workstreams, including data extraction, transformation, mapping, normalization, validation, reconciliation, loading, testing, cutover, and go-live phases. Establish robust project governance, regular status reporting, risk and issue (RAID) logs, decision tracking mechanisms, and executive briefings. Proactively identify and manage project risks, data quality concerns, dependencies, scope adjustments, and escalations, ensuring timely mitigation and resolution. Coordinate testing cycles, mock conversions, detailed cutover planning, go-live readiness assessments, hypercare support, and post-implementation activities. Ensure all deliverables adhere to stringent quality standards, budgets, timelines, healthcare privacy regulations, security protocols, and data governance policies. Drive continuous enhancements in migration processes, tools, automation, documentation, and delivery methodologies. Act as a trusted delivery partner to clients, project leadership, and distributed technical teams.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in technical project or program management is required, with a proven track record in delivering complex data migration, healthcare IT, or enterprise transformation initiatives. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, technical teams, vendors, and diverse client stakeholders effectively. Significant experience with large-scale data migration or conversion projects, encompassing testing, cutover, and go-live delivery, is essential. A strong grasp of ETL processes, data mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, data quality concepts, and migration testing methodologies is necessary. Working knowledge of SQL, databases, cloud technologies, and enterprise integration practices is expected. Prior experience with healthcare systems, EHR/EMR platforms, clinical workflows, or healthcare data models is a significant advantage. Excellent project management expertise, including strategic planning, proactive risk management, dependency management, clear stakeholder communication, and concise executive reporting, is vital. Superior communication, facilitation, presentation, and problem-solving skills are mandatory. The ability to independently navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and effectively lead geographically distributed teams is crucial.
