Advance your career as a Principal OCI Cloud Automation & Orchestration Engineer (DevOps) on a contract basis. This role is integral to Oracle Customer Success Services, focusing on delivering successful business outcomes through expert cloud solutions. You will be part of a team dedicated to accelerating cloud adoption and ensuring operational resilience for customers embarking on their cloud journey.

Our cloud migration and engineering team specializes in designing secure, scalable, and automated solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), particularly within large-scale healthcare transformation programs. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing automated solutions for OCI tenancy provisioning and environment standardization. You will develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules using Terraform and OCI Resource Manager for various OCI resources. Building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments is crucial, alongside developing orchestration workflows for provisioning, deployment, and migration activities.

Further duties involve implementing configuration management with Ansible, automating cloud governance and security controls, and enabling robust monitoring and self-healing capabilities. This role also requires creating reusable automation frameworks, templates, technical documentation, and operational runbooks, championing automation best practices throughout the program.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field is required, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in cloud automation, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with OCI or a comparable enterprise cloud platform is essential.

Mandatory technical skills include strong OCI services experience, advanced Terraform proficiency, and experience with OCI Resource Manager. You must be proficient in Python and Bash/Shell scripting, with hands-on experience in Ansible for configuration management. Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline design using tools like Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab is also necessary. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills are paramount, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global team environment.
