This role supports the design, deployment, and operation of a vast, global Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The primary focus is on developing and supporting network fabric and systems, requiring a deep understanding of protocol-level networking and strong programming skills. Given OCI's global, cloud-based nature, this involves managing hundreds of thousands of network devices that support millions of servers across dedicated backbone infrastructure, CLos Network, and the internet.

Collaborate on project milestones and deliverables. Develop and safely execute network changes using existing procedures, creating new ones as needed.

Design solutions to empower frontline support teams in addressing network failures. Mentor junior engineers, contributing to network solution and architecture design processes, and roadmap development.

Participate in operational rotations and provide break-fix support, acting as an escalation point for event remediation. Lead post-event root cause analysis.

Frequently develop scripts to automate routine tasks for teams and business units. Coordinate with networking automation services for tooling development and integration.

Work with network monitoring to gather telemetry and create alerts. Build dashboards to visualize data across network layers and device roles for issue identification and anomaly detection.

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for software development projects focused on network automation and monitoring. Collaborate with network vendors and internal Quality Assurance to resolve bugs and qualify new firmware/operating systems.

We are seeking a Principal Network Developer to contribute to our mission of advancing HPC, AI, and ML through innovative RDMA cluster networking. A strong foundation in networking principles, particularly at the protocol level, coupled with robust programming skills, is essential.

Key responsibilities include supporting the design, deployment, and operation of large-scale Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This involves developing and maintaining network fabric and systems that are critical to our global operations.

Successful candidates will collaborate with project teams, develop automation scripts, and contribute to network architecture.
