As a Network Operations Engineer, you will drive the design, deployment, and operation of a vast global Oracle cloud computing environment. Your focus will be on maintaining and supporting RDMA/RoCE/InfiniBand network fabrics and systems through deep network expertise and advanced automation skills. You will lead lifecycle management for large-scale network infrastructure projects, translate high-level architectures into detailed, scalable designs, and serve as a technical lead for complex network initiatives. Your role involves designing and supporting network solutions across diverse environments, ensuring seamless integration with monitoring and automation systems, and acting as a specialized escalation point for critical network incidents. You will also develop automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reliability, and mentor junior engineers.

Key contributions include leading the investigation and resolution of intricate network issues and major service disruptions. You'll collaborate closely with product and infrastructure teams to align network capabilities with service demands, and partner with vendor engineering teams to troubleshoot and adopt new technologies. Participating in hardware evaluations and RFQ/RFP processes, you will drive technology decisions aligned with business objectives. Furthermore, you'll contribute to establishing engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role requires over 12 years of experience in large-scale network operations, design, and troubleshooting. Essential expertise includes routing and switching technologies such as BGP, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN, and MPLS, along with data center networking. Prior experience with RDMA/RoCE/InfiniBand is advantageous. Proficiency in network automation using Python, Ansible, or APIs is crucial, with a focus on building AI agents for automation. A strong understanding of observability, monitoring, telemetry, and incident management is necessary, as is experience with cloud infrastructure, hyperscale environments, or large-scale distributed systems. The ability to lead technical projects, influence cross-functional teams, and strong written and verbal communication skills are paramount.
