Your work will involve Oracle database kernel development and systems programming, primarily using C and PL/SQL on Linux. You'll solve complex engineering challenges related to memory management, storage, file systems, I/O, networking, concurrency, and distributed systems. A strong foundation in algorithms, thoughtful design, and understanding component interactions are key to success.

Drive product development and technical ownership by designing, implementing, and maintaining ZDLRA features. Translate complex requirements into clear designs and deliverable milestones, evaluating trade-offs in correctness, performance, and scalability.

Apply advanced algorithms and data structures to build efficient, reliable software, focusing on memory usage, concurrency, and behavior under heavy workloads. Develop and enhance components related to storage, file systems, I/O, networking, and distributed processing, ensuring data integrity and recovery.

Investigate and resolve complex defects, including customer-reported issues. Utilize debugging tools like GDB, core dumps, and logs to diagnose software behavior and performance bottlenecks. Design and implement comprehensive tests to cover functional behavior, boundary conditions, and recovery scenarios.

Execute development tasks through the entire lifecycle, from analysis and design to implementation, review, testing, and maintenance. Plan work realistically, communicate progress and risks effectively, and collaborate closely with global engineering teams.

We are seeking experienced developers with robust skills in C, Linux, and system programming. Practical knowledge of database internals, storage systems, distributed systems, or demanding enterprise software is essential.

Prior experience with Oracle Database, RMAN, PL/SQL, or backup and recovery products is advantageous. Strong systems fundamentals, a curious mindset, and the ability to translate complex requirements into reliable production software are crucial.

You will leverage modern tools, including LLMs and AI coding agents, to accelerate development and testing, while always applying independent judgment and rigorous validation. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 6-10+ years of experience are required for this role.
