As a Cybersecurity M&A Integration Auditor, you will independently assess the progress of integrating newly acquired companies against established cybersecurity requirements.

You will evaluate the implementation status of cybersecurity controls, technologies, and processes, validating supporting evidence and pinpointing gaps where reported completion doesn't align with the actual environment.

Collaboration with cybersecurity, integration, business, and acquisition teams is key to providing clear, objective reporting on integration progress, risks, and necessary remediation efforts.

A strong understanding of cybersecurity controls and technologies is essential, encompassing areas like identity and access management, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, SIEM, network security, and cloud security.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are required to effectively engage with technical teams, leadership, and business stakeholders, including probing for complete information.

Demonstrated ability to validate cybersecurity control implementation through artifact review and possess solid critical thinking and professional skepticism to identify potential inconsistencies.

Proficiency in documenting and reporting assessment results, identified gaps, risks, and remediation needs clearly for both technical and management audiences is crucial.

Preferred qualifications include cybersecurity or audit certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP) and experience in cybersecurity audits, M&A cybersecurity integration, or working with large audit/consulting firms. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001 is highly valued.
