As a Principal Software Development Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for a greenfield platform. Your focus will be on defining architecture and engineering strategies for highly available, scalable services managing physical assets throughout their lifecycle. You'll tackle ambiguous, cross-organizational challenges, establish durable technical patterns, and elevate engineering standards. This involves deep engagement in design, implementation, operational excellence, and ensuring positive customer outcomes.

We are looking for a hands-on cloud engineer and technical leader with a proven history of delivering high-impact distributed systems at scale.

You should be adept at transforming complex business and infrastructure problems into clear technical strategies, phased execution plans, and measurable results. A strong customer focus is essential, along with the ability to make sound trade-offs between reliability, security, velocity, simplicity, and cost. Excellent communication skills are required to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Key qualifications include: - B.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - 10+ years of professional software development experience, with significant focus on scalable, cloud-native distributed systems. - Demonstrated technical leadership for complex initiatives, including architecture definition and roadmap development. - Proficiency in languages like Go and/or Java, with scripting skills in Python. - Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, microservice design, data consistency, and fault tolerance. - Experience designing production services with robust observability and proven production operations experience, including incident response and reliability improvements. - Strong computer science fundamentals and the ability to author and present technical proposals. - Experience mentoring engineers and improving engineering practices.
