Join our team as a Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer and take the lead in architecting and developing highly scalable, elastic distributed systems. You'll define and enforce critical scalability requirements, optimize code and data paths for extreme workloads, and leverage advanced data plane platforms for massive data retrieval, storage, and processing.
This role involves designing robust, fault-tolerant systems that can be updated without service interruption. You will implement strategies for redundancy, replication, and failover, effectively managing partitions and employing load-shedding and throttling techniques to ensure service level objectives (SLOs) are consistently met, even amidst network unreliability.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and telemetry to build proactive monitoring dashboards and alerts. You'll design sophisticated validation mechanisms, including fault injection and brownouts, to guarantee system correctness and durability. Proactive production issue diagnosis and resolution are paramount, along with mentoring peers and ensuring operational readiness. Implement stringent security controls, drive remediation efforts, maintain compliance documentation, and develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation for safe, managed updates and rollbacks.
Lead the design, development, and architecture of scalable distributed systems, ensuring horizontal and vertical scaling capabilities. Optimize systems for large-scale data processing and high-throughput demands, supporting hyper-scale environments. Define and enforce component-level scalability requirements. Design elastic systems capable of efficient scaling up and down. Utilize data plane platforms for effective large-scale data operations. Develop fault-tolerant, in-service-upgradable systems using redundancy, replication, and failover. Implement strategies for handling network partitions, load-shedding, throttling, and rate-limiting to meet SLOs. Establish KPIs and telemetry, building proactive dashboards and alerts for system health. Design complex validation, replication, and synchronization mechanisms for correctness and durability. Proactively diagnose and resolve production issues, mentoring team members. Implement robust security controls, execute remediation plans, and maintain compliance documentation. Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation for safe patching, updates, and rollbacks within change management frameworks.
