Join our team as a Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer and spearhead the architecture and development of sophisticated, scalable, and elastic distributed systems. You will be instrumental in defining and enforcing scalability standards, optimizing code and data paths for demanding high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads, and leveraging advanced data plane platforms for large-scale data operations.

This role involves designing resilient, fault-tolerant systems capable of seamless in-service upgrades. You'll implement robust strategies for redundancy, replication, and failover, while expertly managing partitions. Proficiency in load-shedding, throttling, and rate-limiting will be key to maintaining service level objectives (SLOs) under challenging network conditions. You will also establish critical KPIs and telemetry, build proactive monitoring dashboards and alerts, and design intricate validation mechanisms like fault injection and brownouts to ensure correctness and durability.

Beyond technical design, you will proactively address production issues, mentor your peers, and champion operational readiness. Your responsibilities will extend to implementing strong security controls, executing remediation plans, maintaining compliance documentation, and developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation to facilitate safe patching, updates, and rollbacks within structured change management frameworks.

Lead the design and implementation of scalable distributed systems, optimizing for high-throughput, large-scale data processing and elasticity. Architect fault-tolerant systems with redundancy, replication, and failover capabilities, managing network unreliability through load-shedding and throttling to meet SLOs. Define and monitor KPIs and telemetry, building advanced dashboards and alerts for proactive system health monitoring. Design and implement complex validation scenarios, including fault injection and brownouts, to ensure system correctness and data durability. Proactively diagnose and resolve production issues, mentor junior engineers, and ensure operational readiness. Implement robust security measures, execute remediation plans, maintain compliance documentation, and develop IaC and automation for safe change management processes.

Proven experience in architecting and developing highly scalable, elastic, and fault-tolerant distributed systems. Deep understanding of system scalability, high-throughput workloads, and large-scale data retrieval, storage, and processing. Expertise in designing for redundancy, replication, failover, and managing network partitions, including load-shedding and throttling techniques. Demonstrated ability to define KPIs, build telemetry, and implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems. Experience with fault injection, brownouts, data replication, and synchronization for ensuring correctness and durability. Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex production issues in live systems. Proficiency in implementing security controls, compliance documentation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automation. Excellent mentoring and collaboration skills, with a commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
