Drive the architecture and development of scalable, elastic distributed systems, focusing on performance, reliability, security, and operational excellence. Define crucial scalability requirements and Service Level Objectives (SLOs). Design fault-tolerant services that enable seamless upgrades and establish robust telemetry and rigorous resilience testing protocols.

This role involves resolving complex production issues, mentoring engineering teams, and building infrastructure automation for secure deployments, patching, and rollbacks. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our core infrastructure.

Lead the design and implementation of scalable distributed systems, optimizing for large-scale data processing and high-throughput needs. Architect fault-tolerant components capable of in-service updates and handling service disruptions. Define key performance indicators, telemetry, and alerting mechanisms for proactive system monitoring.

Design and implement functional requirements, utilizing complex test scenarios like fault-injection. Diagnose and resolve production issues, mentor junior engineers, and ensure operational readiness. Implement robust security measures and compliance with industry standards. Develop and maintain automation scripts for cloud infrastructure management.

A minimum of 7 years of industry experience in commercial or open-source software development is required. Proficiency in modern languages such as C++ or Java is essential, alongside excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and building cloud-scale control plane systems is a must. Strong systems programming skills, including multi-threading and concurrency, are necessary. A solid foundation in distributed systems concepts and hands-on experience with implementation testing, debugging, and documentation within a Linux environment are critical.
