Key responsibilities include leading the development and architecture of scalable distributed systems, optimizing code and systems for large-scale data processing, and designing for elasticity. You will build and design fault-tolerant components, implement strategies to handle network unreliability, and ensure systems adhere to service level objectives (SLOs).

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and telemetry to proactively monitor system health. Design complex validation scenarios, such as fault injection and brownouts, to ensure system correctness and durability. Proactively diagnose and resolve production issues, mentor team members, and maintain expertise in owned components.

Implement robust security measures, execute remediation plans, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools, including IaC, to manage cloud infrastructure and support safe patching, updates, and rollbacks within change management plans. This role also involves contributing to talent development through interviewing and assessing candidates.

We are seeking an experienced Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer with 3 to 5+ years of experience in architecting and developing scalable distributed systems. A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree or equivalent is required.

Essential skills include deep understanding of system design and architecture for scalability and reliability, including distributed state management, data plane platforms, and performance optimization. Experience with fault-tolerant system design, redundancy, replication, and failover mechanisms is crucial. You should be adept at defining KPIs, building telemetry, and designing alerting mechanisms.

Proven ability in diagnosing and resolving production issues, implementing security controls, and developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is expected. Strong problem-solving skills, experience in mentoring junior engineers, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement are highly valued. Fluency in English is required for this role.
