Join Oracle's mission-critical support team as a Principal Advanced Services Engineer specializing in WebLogic Administration. This role is integral to maintaining the availability, performance, and security of vital database, application, and middleware environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure, database, middleware, and application teams. The focus is on ensuring seamless service availability, optimizing performance, and driving efficiency through cloud migration and operational automation initiatives. Administer and maintain robust production environments, including Oracle Database, Oracle Applications (11i/R12), and Fusion Middleware products like WebLogic, SOA, and OBIEE. Deliver controlled lifecycle changes through installation, configuration, patching, cloning, and upgrades. Ensure high availability and disaster readiness using technologies such as RAC, Active Data Guard, and disaster recovery synchronization.

Manage middleware services, including JDBC, JMS, and SSL configuration, and deploy applications using WebLogic Console and WLST. Troubleshoot complex production issues, optimize performance, manage capacity, and restore services within SLAs. Automate operational tasks using Python and shell scripting to enhance efficiency and prevent recurring incidents.

Support cloud environments and migrations to OCI, applying best practices in networking, security, and resilience. Coordinate effective service delivery by working independently with customers and teams, managing risks, and adhering to compliance requirements. Provide proactive technical recommendations and willingness to work 24x7 shifts and weekends is essential.

A strong foundation in IT solutions, operations, or related fields is required, with pathways including 11 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 7 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 5 years of experience. Demonstrable expertise in Oracle Apps DBA or Fusion Middleware administration, with solid working knowledge of the other, is essential.

Proven experience with Oracle infrastructure in production environments, including installation, configuration, and administration. Familiarity with Oracle Applications 11i/R12, cloning, patching, and multi-node maintenance. In-depth knowledge of WebLogic architecture, clustering, load balancing, high availability, patching, and troubleshooting is critical.

Experience supporting Oracle Database high availability and disaster recovery, including RAC and Data Guard. Hands-on experience with JDBC, JMS, application deployment, SSL configuration, and WLST. Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration, Python, and shell scripting. Experience with cloud infrastructure, OCI provisioning, and migrating on-premises environments to OCI is a plus.

Excellent troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, database, middleware, and application layers. Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and customer-facing skills are vital. Ability to work independently and a willingness to commit to 24x7 shifts and weekend support are mandatory.
