Join Oracle's mission-critical support team, ensuring the availability and performance of database, application, and middleware environments. This role is pivotal in collaborating with infrastructure, database, middleware, and application teams to enhance service uptime, optimize performance, and drive cloud migration and operational automation initiatives.
We are seeking a skilled Oracle Apps DBA & Fusion Middleware Administrator to expertly manage, maintain, and troubleshoot complex Oracle Applications, Database, and Fusion Middleware systems. Your responsibilities will span production operations, crucial upgrades, high availability solutions, disaster recovery planning, and cloud infrastructure support.
Key duties involve maintaining robust production environments by administering Oracle Database, Oracle Applications 11i/R12, and Fusion Middleware products like WebLogic, SOA, and OBIEE across diverse configurations. You will execute controlled lifecycle changes, including installation, configuration, patching, cloning, and upgrades of application, database, and middleware platforms, with a focus on Oracle Database upgrades to 19c.

Middleware service administration includes configuring JDBC, data sources, JMS resources, and SSL, along with deploying applications (WAR, EJB, EAR) using WebLogic Console, utilities, and WLST.
Resolving complex production incidents, optimizing performance of WebLogic and databases, capacity assessment, and managing planned downtime to restore services within SLAs are core functions. Automation using Python and shell scripting is essential for standardizing management tasks, minimizing manual effort, and preventing recurring issues.
Support for cloud environments and migrations is vital, including provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure and migrating on-premises Oracle environments to OCI with best practices in networking, security, and resilience. Effective service delivery involves independent work with customers and cross-functional teams, managing risks and changes, adhering to compliance, and providing proactive technical recommendations.
Mandatory qualifications include a minimum of 11 years of experience in IT solutions implementation or operations, OR a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 7 years of experience, OR a Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrate deep hands-on expertise in either Oracle Apps DBA or Fusion Middleware administration, complemented by a strong working knowledge of the other. Essential experience includes installing, configuring, administering, and supporting Oracle infrastructure in production, with knowledge of Oracle Applications 11i/R12 administration, cloning, patching, and multi-node maintenance.
Proficiency in WebLogic architecture, clustering, load balancing, high availability, patching, and troubleshooting is required. Experience supporting Oracle Database high availability and disaster recovery technologies like RAC and Data Guard is a must. Hands-on knowledge of JDBC, JMS, application deployment, SSL configuration, and WLST is also critical.
Strong Linux/Unix administration, Python, and shell scripting skills are necessary. Prior experience with cloud infrastructure, OCI provisioning, and migrating on-premises Oracle environments to OCI is essential. The ability to troubleshoot across infrastructure, database, middleware, and application layers, and support services within agreed SLAs is paramount.
Exceptional communication, coordination, organizational, and customer-facing skills are expected, alongside keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently. A willingness to work 24x7 shifts and weekends is a requirement.
