Join Oracle’s Customer Success organization as a Principal Advanced Services Engineer, focusing on enterprise Oracle database environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring the availability, reliability, and quality of our mission-critical database systems. You will collaborate with customers and global engineering teams across diverse time zones, upholding the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include administering and supporting enterprise Oracle databases on Exadata and RAC/ASM, ensuring the seamless operation of production environments. You will diagnose and resolve complex database availability and infrastructure issues, manage installations, upgrades, migrations, and patching, and handle RMAN backups and recovery. Maintaining and troubleshooting Data Guard environments, analyzing database performance, and addressing critical production incidents under pressure are also core functions. Effective communication with customers and global teams, including potential shift and weekend work, is essential.

Candidates should possess over 10 years of hands-on Oracle DBA or Database Engineer experience within enterprise and mission-critical production settings. Essential skills include robust Oracle database administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, alongside advanced expertise in Oracle Exadata, RAC, and ASM. Proven experience with Data Guard (Physical Standby, Active Data Guard, Broker), RMAN backup, restore, and recovery, as well as database installation, upgrades, migrations, and patching, is mandatory. The ability to resolve critical production incidents under pressure and strong customer-facing communication skills are vital. Experience with Oracle GoldenGate, ZDLRA, and Logical Data Guard are considered beneficial.
