Join YouTube's Trust & Safety team as a Policy Enforcement Manager and play a crucial role in safeguarding our platform.
This position is central to upholding the integrity of YouTube's Partner Program by shaping and executing enforcement strategies across a wide spectrum of policies. You will collaborate with teams spanning Policy Development, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Ads Policy to implement robust, scalable solutions that minimize brand risk and support creators.
This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate complex policy areas such as Hate Speech, Misinformation, Adult Content, Reused Content, and Child Safety. You will be instrumental in developing consistent and resilient processes to protect the YouTube ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include overseeing specific vertical performance and extended workforce operations, with a strong focus on quality assurance. You will actively research and stay informed about emerging trends and suspicious patterns of abuse within the team's policy domains.
A deep understanding of how YouTube Partner Program (YPP) policies affect users, platform changes, and new product launches is essential. You will serve as a liaison with Policy, Public Relations, Legal, and Partnerships teams to develop and implement process solutions for new threats and to enhance creator education initiatives.
Generate innovative ideas for policy enhancements to boost quality and streamline operational efforts. Effectively manage and cultivate relationships with Product and Engineering teams to improve detection capabilities, sophistication, and enforcement efficiency. Handle sensitive escalations from initiation to resolution, collaborating with key cross-functional and executive stakeholders to drive effective solutions. Prepare and deliver clear presentations to management and the wider organization regarding initiatives.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required for this role. Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of experience in operations, data analytics, trust and safety, policy, or cybersecurity.
Additionally, two years of experience specifically in data analysis is necessary. Preferred qualifications include experience in content policy, anti-abuse efforts, and online content review. Familiarity with identifying abuse trends or working within policy frameworks is advantageous.
Experience with SQL and spreadsheets is a plus, as is the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners globally. Candidates should demonstrate a capacity to leverage data to drive strategic decisions and business actions, coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
