Our mission is to deliver a premier Integrated Observability and Management platform for our customers, seamlessly integrating across OCI, other clouds, and on-premises for a unified view. This platform encompasses Logging, Monitoring, Auditing, SIEM, Events, and more. We are dedicated to continuous innovation across these services to make them world-class and to ensure they provide meaningful insights into your resources and data.
We provide exceptional opportunities for talented, hands-on engineers passionate about tackling complex challenges within distributed, highly available services and virtualised infrastructure. Our engineers drive significant technical and business impact by designing and building innovative systems that power our customers' critical applications.
As a Platform Software Engineer, you will focus on delivering minor enhancements to shared services, integration adapters, and SDK surfaces, adhering strictly to defined guardrails. You'll ensure compatibility and versioning rules are applied during fixes and rollouts to safeguard downstream teams. Identifying and proposing small observability and resilience improvements based on API/SDK usage signals for subsystems will also be a key aspect of your role.
Your responsibilities extend to the full software development lifecycle, including contributing to software solution designs and analyzing requirements to meet business and operational objectives with minimal guidance. You'll develop and review code for new features and enhancements, meticulously following design specifications and documenting software design. Debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues, from simple to moderately complex, will be integral to your work, as will implementing software testing, quality assurance, error logging, and monitoring.
You will also collaborate with your team and begin networking externally to understand customer issues and align solutions. Providing technical guidance and support to customers on reported issues, with limited supervision, may be required. Assisting peers, advocating for customers, and suggesting product enhancements based on feedback will contribute to customer satisfaction. Implementing customer issue/defect handling processes and collaborating with experienced colleagues on product maintenance issues to ensure customer agreement on solutions are also expected.
To excel in this role, proficiency in C++ Programming Language is essential. Experience with Kubernetes and a strong understanding of Scalable Design principles are required. You should also possess solid skills in Security Management and Software Design and Development. This position requires 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience. While not explicitly stated, the nature of the role implies a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field would be beneficial.
