As a Physical Design Engineer on the GPU Implementation team, your primary focus will be on the block or subsystem implementation of intricate logic blocks. A key aspect of this role involves optimizing Power, Performance, and Area (PPA). You will collaborate closely with RTL, DFT, and Foundation IP teams to enhance PPA, and will be involved in deploying AI workflows to boost productivity, shorten time-to-market, and further improve PPA.

Develop comprehensive ASIC RTL2GDS implementation for Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) within the Tensor SOC. Manage block-level and full-chip physical implementation, ensuring high Quality of Results (QoR) in terms of power, timing, and area. Drive signoff convergence, encompassing Static Timing Analysis (STA), Physical Design Verification (PDV), and IR/EM analysis. Execute optimizations for power, performance, and area to meet demanding performance and cost targets. Accelerate time-to-market and enhance PPA through the strategic implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in physical design tools and workflows.

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field, alongside equivalent practical experience, is required. Minimum of 4 years of dedicated experience in physical design, with a track record of two or more chip tape outs.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with a specific focus on computer architecture.

Experience with power, performance, and area optimization is highly desirable.

Familiarity with high-performance designs such as CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, or other compute-intensive architectures is a plus.
