Join NVIDIA's pioneering team as a PhD Intern specializing in AI/ML for Wireless L1/L2. This internship focuses on developing cutting-edge AI-native 6G solutions utilizing NVIDIA's advanced computing platforms. You'll contribute to optimizing Radio Access Network functions, driving spectral and energy efficiency goals in the telecommunications sector.
As an integral part of the Aerial RAN team, you will focus on developing and optimizing AI/ML modules for wireless signal processing.
Key responsibilities include conducting literature surveys to understand existing AI/ML approaches for RAN, identifying and adapting suitable ML architectures for specific RAN functions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance Over-the-Air (OTA) performance and manage compute complexity.
You will also benchmark performance improvements, iteratively train and modify models for enhanced results, and contribute to building an outstanding Software-Radio 5G/6G stack.
We are seeking a full-time PhD student with a strong research focus in AI and Wireless domains, available for an internship of at least 6 months. A thorough understanding of wireless Layer 1/Layer 2 functions and algorithms is essential.
Candidates must possess excellent grasp of AI/ML concepts, techniques, and be aware of the latest advancements. Deep knowledge of ML architectures like Transformers and CNNs, along with practical experience in simulating signal processing algorithms using Matlab and Python, is required.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming and proven experience in analyzing problems, identifying appropriate model architectures, and developing/training/optimizing models, particularly in signal processing contexts, are key qualifications. Familiarity with CPU, DSP, or GPU architecture and memory interfaces is advantageous.
