Seeking a seasoned Performance Testing Senior Architect to drive enterprise-wide performance engineering strategies and frameworks. This role is critical for ensuring the scalability, stability, and responsiveness of complex, large-scale applications.
Your expertise will be instrumental in defining performance benchmarks, KPIs, and SLAs, as well as identifying potential risks early in the Software Development Life Cycle. You will play a key part in shaping the performance architecture and providing actionable recommendations for optimization.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive performance testing and engineering frameworks across the enterprise. You will be tasked with establishing performance benchmarks, defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs). Designing and executing various performance tests, such as load, stress, volume, endurance, spike, scalability, and capacity testing, will be central to this role. Additionally, you'll create realistic workload models and user behavior simulations.
This position also involves the analysis of performance test results to provide detailed bottleneck identification. You will conduct root cause analysis for application performance issues by examining metrics like CPU utilization, memory consumption, thread behavior, network latency, database performance, and JVM metrics. Collaboration with development, infrastructure, DBA, and DevOps teams to resolve performance bottlenecks and provide tuning recommendations for applications, middleware, databases, and infrastructure is also expected.
This role requires a deep understanding of performance testing and engineering principles. Candidates should be adept at defining and implementing enterprise-level performance frameworks and setting critical performance metrics. Proven experience in designing and executing a wide range of performance test types, including load, stress, and scalability testing, is essential. Strong analytical skills are necessary to interpret test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and perform root cause analysis.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have experience in creating realistic workload models and simulating user behavior. Familiarity with monitoring key system resources and performance indicators is crucial. Excellent collaboration and communication skills are needed to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide clear, actionable recommendations for performance tuning and optimization across applications, middleware, databases, and infrastructure.
