As a Product Owner, you will drive technology analysis, conduct end-user research, and manage the complete lifecycle of product development. You’ll transform existing ideas into innovative products and generate new concepts based on industry insights and customer feedback. This position requires a unique blend of business acumen and technical expertise, coupled with a visionary outlook and the drive to bring products to life.

Your role involves understanding market challenges through direct engagement with customers and prospects, developing innovative solutions, and communicating effectively across all organizational levels. You will collaborate closely with technology counterparts to define release requirements and work with diverse stakeholders to shape product strategies and ensure long-term product sustainability. Additionally, you will act as an internal and external advocate for the product, potentially engaging with sales teams and key clients.

Spearhead the identification, evaluation, and planning of new software products utilizing lean and agile methodologies. Develop comprehensive use-cases and detailed requirements for development and technology teams. Define Minimum Viable Product (MVP) features and strategically pivot existing products as needed. Propose and implement product strategy adjustments in response to competitive market shifts. Drive cross-functional alignment and execute the software roadmap, encompassing products, services, and solutions. Collaborate closely with business, technical, and implementation teams to define product requirements and own the product roadmap. Manage and prioritize the product backlog in partnership with product management. Report on product status and budget management to global leadership. Cultivate a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges to precisely define product requirements. Oversee the entire product lifecycle. Assist in build/buy strategy evaluations and provide recommendations for current solutions. Communicate and foster organizational alignment on software deployment with all key stakeholders, including end-users. Partner with technology and client services teams to enhance existing products and develop new concepts driven by industry research and user needs.

Key skills include a strong background in HR/Payroll technology solutions and a solid grasp of the global HRIS, HR, and Payroll technology landscape. Demonstrate robust problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach to tasks. Excel in leading cross-functional teams, effectively integrating business, product development, supply chain, and procurement processes. Showcase a proven ability to influence successful product/solution visions and roadmaps, and execute plans effectively. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with expertise in collaborating across different geographies. Exhibit thorough knowledge of Design Thinking and User Experience methodologies. Function as a strategic thinker within a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving start-up environment.

To qualify for this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering (Computer Science/Technology). You should have 12-15 years of experience in the IT/software industry, with at least 6 years in a product management capacity.

Ideally, you will also bring knowledge and experience with cross-platform mobile applications. Demonstrate a track record of successfully delivering high-quality technology products/services in a high-growth environment with rapidly shifting priorities. Exhibit a proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively present recommendations to executive management.
