As a Product Owner, you will drive technology analysis, user research, future product planning, and end-to-end product lifecycle management for developed products. Collaborating with a technology counterpart, you will define product release requirements and work closely with diverse stakeholders to shape business decisions and product strategies, ensuring the long-term viability of our products and tools. You will also act as a key advocate, both internally and externally, for your product offerings, engaging with sales teams and significant clients.

Key responsibilities include evaluating and planning new software products using lean/agile principles. You will develop comprehensive use-cases and requirements for development teams, define Minimum Viable Product (MVP) features, and adapt existing products as needed. Propose strategic product adjustments in response to competitive market shifts. Drive cross-functional alignment and implementation of the software roadmap, encompassing products, services, and solutions.

Collaborate closely with business, technical, and implementation teams to define product requirements and own the product roadmap. Manage and prioritize the product backlog in conjunction with product management. Report on product status and budget management to global leadership. Cultivate a deep understanding of customer needs to precisely define product requirements. Oversee the entire product lifecycle and contribute to build/buy strategy recommendations for current solutions. Communicate and foster organizational alignment on software deployment with all key stakeholders, including end-users. Work with technology and client services teams to enhance existing products and develop new concepts based on industry research and user needs.

Success in this role requires experience with HR/Payroll technology solutions and a solid grasp of the global HRIS/HR/Payroll technology landscape. You should possess strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. The capacity to effectively lead in a cross-functional team, integrating business, product development, supply chain, and procurement processes, is crucial.

A proven track record of influencing successful product/solution vision and roadmaps, coupled with effective execution, is highly valued. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, particularly in communicating with geographically dispersed teams. Proficiency in Design Thinking and User Experience methodologies is expected. You should be a strategic thinker comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving start-up environment.

To qualify, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (Computer Science/Technology). A minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience in the IT/software industry is required, with at least 6 years specifically in a product manager capacity. Ideally, experience with cross-platform mobile applications, a demonstrated success in delivering high-quality technology products in high-growth environments with shifting priorities, and the proven ability to develop and communicate product and marketing strategies to executive management would be beneficial.
