This Manager role is instrumental in supporting global payroll initiatives. You will provide essential service delivery support, collaborating closely with EY's engagement leaders and partners worldwide. This position offers a significant opportunity to leverage your expertise in payroll operations and drive impactful change within a global context.

As a Payroll Delivery Manager, you will serve as a subject matter expert, providing project leadership and direction to local payroll operation teams. Your focus will be on ensuring our payroll services are optimally configured and executed.

Key responsibilities include partnering with global payroll engagement teams to spearhead GDS Payroll delivery initiatives. You will oversee payroll system setup, including crucial data migration and transition processes. Reviewing the delivery of payroll processing services is paramount, ensuring accuracy, timely execution of all payroll activities (from gross to net calculations to disbursement and overpayment recovery), and strict adherence to relevant legislation. You will also be responsible for reviewing complex payroll data for input accuracy, quality control, and maintenance of records to uphold service quality and data integrity. A core part of the role involves collaborating with clients to ensure their tax, social security, and other statutory obligations are met through accurate processing and preparation of required documentation. Providing responsive and precise advisory services on payroll matters, resolving complex inquiries, and assisting in identifying and rectifying payroll errors are also key duties. Furthermore, you will coach, mentor, train, and coordinate team activities, manage the application of the Hub’s methodology framework, and perform ad-hoc reporting and other assigned tasks.

To excel in this role, you should possess experience in personnel and people management, including supervision and team building. A proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and relate well with staff across all levels is essential. You should demonstrate a capacity to quickly grasp new information, processes, and procedures, alongside a strong track record of meeting deadlines and adeptly identifying and resolving problems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced or expert-level Excel skills, is required.

Candidates must have prior experience managing end-to-end payroll processing and handling high-volume payroll scenarios. Exposure to multi-country payroll within a client service environment is expected. Exceptional numeracy skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy are vital. You must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, in English. Experience in payroll administration and familiarity with using large ERP systems are also necessary qualifications.

While not strictly mandatory, a payroll-related diploma or certificate may be beneficial. Prior experience in tax accounting and finance would be advantageous. Strong analytical skills are a must-have. We are looking for individuals with proven experience in people management and expert-level proficiency in Payroll management.
