Lead and manage teams delivering middleware solutions, collaborating with offshore, client, and onsite teams. Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise API solutions using Apigee, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing ecosystems.

Provide integration solutions for enterprise systems across various middleware platforms. Gather business requirements through user sessions for technical design and implementation. Analyze current designs and deliver future-state integration architecture.

Contribute to client deliverables by refining and structuring relevant data to address business challenges. Ensure optimal technical solutions throughout the design, development, operational service, and enhancement lifecycle. Assist business users during CRPs, SITs, and UATs.

Implement integration best practices, conduct training, and mentor team members. Conduct project assessments for end-to-end analysis of scope, scale, deliverables, objectives, and impacts. Support end-users in resolving incidents within SLA, working in shifts as needed for client support engagements. Be prepared for short-term or long-term onsite travel and participate in business sales cycles.

A minimum of 8 years of experience in API Management and Integration projects is required, with at least 6 years of hands-on Apigee development experience. Successful implementation experience with Apigee in at least two enterprise-scale projects is essential.

Demonstrate strong experience with Apigee Edge and/or Apigee X, along with designing and implementing RESTful APIs and API-first architectures. You should have extensive hands-on experience with API Proxy development, Shared Flows, Flow Hooks, API Products, Developers, Apps, and Monetization concepts.

Proficiency in implementing API security standards like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML, API Keys, mTLS, and SSL/TLS is crucial. Experience with API Gateway policies such as Spike Arrest, Quota, Caching, Threat Protection, Traffic Management, Message Transformation, and Logging is necessary.

Strong knowledge of JavaScript and policy-based API development within Apigee is required. Experience integrating enterprise applications, ERP systems, CRM applications, SaaS platforms, and cloud-native services is expected. Familiarity with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architecture is important.

Hands-on experience troubleshooting API performance, latency, scalability, and security issues is key. Experience with logging and monitoring tools like Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Cloud Monitoring platforms is needed. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, and Maven, including automated deployment pipelines, is beneficial.

Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (preferred), AWS, or Azure is required. An understanding of API Governance, API Analytics, Developer Portals, and API Lifecycle Management is also necessary. Multi-domain expertise and experience with other integration platforms are advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Apigee API Engineer Certification or related Google Cloud certifications are preferred. You should be capable of mentoring team members and independently handling customer interactions. A college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required, along with at least 8 years of experience as a quality consultant in Software Delivery Excellence.
