This position is for an experienced Oracle Exadata / RAC DBA Architect. You will provide advanced technical support, administration, troubleshooting, and architectural guidance for enterprise Oracle database systems. The role requires a strong background in Oracle RAC database administration or Engineered Systems, with deep expertise in RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and database diagnostics. You will resolve intricate production issues, implement upgrades and migrations, optimize performance, and engage directly with clients. The position demands comfort in a customer-facing technical setting, participation in 24x7 rotational shifts (including US working hours), and a commitment to working from our Bengaluru office.

Architect-level support for Oracle RAC and Exadata environments, resolving complex database, clustering, storage, and availability issues.

Manage Oracle database installations, configurations, upgrades, migrations, and patching for optimal stability, security, and efficiency.

Implement, administer, and troubleshoot Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN for robust business continuity.

Monitor database performance, analyze diagnostics, and propose effective tuning and optimization strategies.

Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand their technical challenges and deliver expert recommendations and resolutions.

Lead investigations for high-priority production incidents, coordinating internal teams to drive issues to closure.

Develop comprehensive technical documentation, knowledge articles, and best practices to enhance support effectiveness.

Provide continuous 24x7 operational support through rotational shifts, including night shifts and US timings.

A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Oracle RAC database administration, Oracle Engineered Systems administration, or database architecture is essential.

Demonstrate strong expertise in Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), including configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and high-availability operations.

Possess advanced knowledge of Automatic Storage Management (ASM), covering storage administration, disk group management, and troubleshooting.

Exhibit practical experience configuring, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting Oracle Data Guard environments.

Have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) for database backup and recovery procedures and restoration scenarios.

Showcase a proven ability to investigate and resolve complex Oracle database issues using diagnostic tools, logs, and performance analysis.

Gain experience with Oracle database installation, patching, upgrades, and migrations.

Acquire strong customer-facing technical support experience, including troubleshooting discussions, proactive recommendations, and issue resolution.

Possess the ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Exhibit willingness to work night shifts, US timings, and participate in 24x7 rotational support schedules.

Demonstrate willingness to work from the Bengaluru office.

Familiarity with Oracle Exadata hardware and software platforms (X8, X9M, or newer) is advantageous.

Experience with Oracle GoldenGate for replication and database migration is desirable.

Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud-based database services is a plus.

Familiarity with Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance (ZDLRA) is beneficial.

Advanced database performance tuning experience, including SQL optimization, wait-event analysis, AWR/ASH analysis, and performance troubleshooting is preferred.

Experience participating in Exadata deployment, upgrade, patching, and migration projects is a plus.
