EY is seeking a Senior APIGEE Platform Engineer to join our global GDS team. This role involves supporting large-scale API management environments across hybrid and multi-cloud deployments. You will leverage advanced expertise in Google Apigee, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps automation to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions for mission-critical enterprise integrations and API ecosystems.

You will play a crucial role in shaping robust and resilient API management platforms that are vital for modern enterprise ecosystems.

Key responsibilities include overseeing Apigee platform architecture and implementation, serving as the primary escalation point for platform issues, and designing/supporting end-to-end platform migrations and modernization programs. You will also drive infrastructure automation, governance, and security standards, collaborating closely with networking, cloud, security, and DevOps teams. Defining high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and resiliency requirements, along with establishing observability, monitoring, and operational readiness standards, are also core aspects of this role.

Ideal candidates will possess 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in API Management, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or DevOps. Hands-on experience with Google Apigee administration, deployment, and support is essential. Proficiency with Kubernetes platforms (GKE, EKS, AKS, or enterprise distributions) and experience implementing CI/CD and APIOps automation pipelines are required. A strong understanding of cloud networking, DNS, load balancing, IAM, routing, and security controls is necessary, as is experience with API Security implementation including OAuth2, JWT, TLS/mTLS, and API Keys. Robust Linux administration, scripting, troubleshooting, and production support experience are also critical qualifications.
