This role is instrumental in designing and implementing robust microservices and event-driven integrations, ensuring the seamless operation of our OpenShift Container platforms.

As a key member of our team, you will engineer innovative capabilities for the OpenShift Platform, delivering them with full automation and support. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the security, stability, and performance of our container environments, while also researching and implementing advanced automation techniques.

Design and develop reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support microservices and event-driven integrations. Engineer and deliver new capabilities for the OpenShift Platform in a fully automated and supportable manner. Maintain the security, stability, and performance of OpenShift Container platforms. Research and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency. Troubleshoot and ensure the high availability of complex systems. Collaborate effectively with virtual and in-person teams, managing tasks under pressure and meeting deadlines. Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Apply best practices for building supportable and repeatable Kubernetes clusters with deployed applications. Leverage strong understanding of network and container/Linux security in relation to Kubernetes.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in OpenShift is required. 3+ years of experience with container orchestration, including Kubernetes and OpenShift, is essential. Proficiency in working with Ansible Playbook and Ansible Tower for 3+ years. Extensive experience in developing infrastructure as code using Terraform for 3+ years. A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Splunk and creating dashboards. Proven experience of 3+ years in an agile development environment (Jira, Confluence). 3+ years of experience working with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6/7/8). Hands-on experience with Kubernetes observability and logging tools such as Grafana and Prometheus for 3+ years. 3+ years of working experience with CI/CD for application deployment. Significant experience of 3+ years in upgrading and patching Kubernetes clusters and applications within the cluster.
