NTT DATA is seeking two experienced Offshore Pod Leads to spearhead a critical Databricks Lakehouse migration program. These roles are pivotal in transforming a legacy ETL ecosystem into a modern, unified data platform.

This engagement focuses on migrating data pipelines from Informatica PowerCenter or AWS Glue to Databricks Lakehouse. You will lead a team of Data Engineers, ensuring technical excellence and driving project velocity. This is a high-impact, high-visibility opportunity within a client-facing migration initiative.

As an Offshore Pod Lead, you will own the end-to-end technical design and implementation for migrating data from legacy systems to Databricks Lakehouse. This includes assessing existing ETL jobs, defining migration strategies, and architecting scalable, cost-efficient pipelines using Databricks PySpark and Spark SQL.

You will lead and mentor a pod of 4–6 Data Engineers, managing sprint planning, backlog refinement, and progress tracking. Additionally, you will serve as the primary technical liaison with the client, translating complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders and ensuring all migrated pipelines meet rigorous quality, SLA, and observability standards. Championing data governance and producing comprehensive technical documentation will also be key.

We are looking for individuals with 12+ years of data engineering experience and at least 5 years of specialized experience in either Informatica PowerCenter or AWS Glue, Redshift, and Kinesis Streams. A strong command of PySpark, Spark SQL, and Databricks is essential.

Proven leadership skills are required, with a track record of leading data engineering teams in delivery-focused environments. You should possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, adept at navigating ambiguous legacy systems. Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to articulate technical strategies and migration plans to both technical and non-technical audiences, are crucial. Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and consulting is highly valued.
