The OCI Administrator will be responsible for provisioning and managing OCI resources, including compartments, tenancy resources, quotas, and tagging. Key duties involve administering compute instances, managing their lifecycle, and handling boot/block volumes, file storage, and object storage.
This role also includes performing resource scaling and capacity management, configuring and administering VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists, and Network Security Groups. You will manage DRG, LPG, and other applicable gateways, support FastConnect and VPN connectivity, and administer OCI Load Balancers.
Further responsibilities encompass supporting DNS and network troubleshooting, managing OCI users, groups, and policies, and implementing least-privilege IAM policies. You will also support OCI Vault, keys, and secrets, along with Cloud Guard, Security Zones, and vulnerability management. Periodic access reviews and provisioning/management of Linux/Windows compute instances are also part of this role. Automation of infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, OCI CLI, REST APIs, and SDKs, as well as development using Shell/Python/Ansible, are crucial.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of infrastructure/cloud administration experience, with a specific focus of 2–4+ years in hands-on OCI administration. A strong understanding of OCI networking, IAM, and storage services is essential.
Proficiency in automating infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform is required. Experience with OCI CLI, REST APIs, and SDKs is also necessary. The ability to develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, or Ansible is a key requirement for this position.
