Seeking a seasoned Network Security Specialist Advisor to manage daily operations and maintenance of critical network security infrastructure, including Firewalls and Prisma. This role involves extensive work with leading vendor products like Palo Alto and FortiGate, focusing on designing, validating, and troubleshooting traffic flows and security configurations for multiple clients. The position requires a proactive approach to maintaining network security, documenting processes, and offering independent remote support for complex issues, escalating only when necessary.

Engage in daily support activities for customer network security environments, addressing Requests, Changes, Incidents, and Problems. Implement robust network security solutions and provide ongoing operational support. Expertise in Palo Alto, Fortinet Firewalls, and Cloud Proxy solutions like Netskope is essential. Deep understanding of Palo Alto features such as URL filtering, vulnerability protection, AV, and anti-spyware profiles, alongside App-ID and its application filters, is required. Proficiency in troubleshooting complex issues using packet captures and debugs on Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls is crucial. You will also provide technical escalations, write custom Palo Alto queries for reporting, and participate in an on-call rotation for 24x7 support.

Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements and operational standards through diligent system maintenance, checkups, and accurate documentation. Develop resolution plans for device issues and propose service, process, and technical improvements to management. The role demands strong time management skills for operational duties and tasks optimizing the firewall team's performance. A solid understanding of template/stack architecture is also key. Responsibilities extend to assisting in daily steady-state operations, managing request and change processes, and conducting weekly/monthly health status checks across all supported network security platforms. Work with multiple customers to complete upgrades, patches, and provide overall operational support, including rule set reviews to enhance customer security footprints.

A minimum of 12 years of experience in Network Security administration is required. Proven hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Prisma, and Fortinet is essential. The ability to grasp complex issues and derive optimal solutions, coupled with strong ethics and integrity, is expected. Flexibility to adapt to evolving customer, account, and team needs is important. Excellent customer-facing communication skills and a solid understanding of ITIL best practices are necessary (ITIL certification is a plus). Significant architectural experience with products like Firewalls (Palo Alto), F5, Prisma SASE, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and switching technologies is required.

Demonstrate understanding of integration with authentication protocols such as LDAP, IWA, IWA-direct, SSO, and Active Directory. Candidates must possess at least two mid-level network security certifications from vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, or Fortinet (e.g., CCNP Security, PCNSE). Strong time management skills are vital for managing operations and optimizing the Network Security team's efficiency. A clear understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems is necessary. This role requires 12+ years of network troubleshooting experience, with at least 7 years specifically in Network & Security administration. While not mandatory, network design experience would be an advantage. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
